Cute New hairdo

Miss Emily is sporting a cute new do.

She asked Mrs. Denise to cut her hair.

She aged 3 years right before my very eyes.

SHE loves her new haircut.

She looks so cute!

We might have to lock her up!

Very proud does not begin to explain how I feel.
Emily was honored this past Thursday evening at our school district's
Board of Education meeting.
Emily was recognized by the school board for her achievements
on the state standardized test.
She scored the highest possible mark on the communication arts portion of this test.
Emily was the only student in the 8th grade from our school district to score a
"Perfect Score" on this exam.
I am so proud of her.
She was asked to stand in front of the board, and was given a certificate.
She was congratulated by our school superintendent.
Pretty amazing!
Emily- you make us proud every single day....
but you out-did yourself today!

It has been a while....

Well, it has been a while. I have not blogged in weeks. It is not because I haven't wanted to, it is because... life has been busy. Busy with the humdrum stuff that we all do. The things that really don't always seem blog worthy. I have been really tied down trying to complete the elementary school yearbook. My deadline is quickly approaching. Because of that, I have spent much of my time on the computer working on that...instead of blogging.

Other than that...life has been busy with basketball practice and games. Jake has also started baseball practice. Emily has been busy with school activities, as well as her new babysitting business.

Now, all that aside. Let me tell you how much fun we had on Friday night. Closing ceremonies for the basketball organization was Friday night. We got to see a very exciting basketball dunk team. They were amazing. They jumped on trampolines and slam dunked basketball after basketball. I was in awe of the height they acheived, and worried for their safety...but it was cool!

Jake loved it. I just worry that Jake got some crazy ideas... I will be watching to make sure he doesn't move the trampoline near the basketball hoop....
